End of the Year. Final (?) Trailer Coming...

2012 is going to be no more after today. It's sad to see you go. But, on the bright side, we have lots of great things to expect in 2013! We have Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape debuting on January 12, 2013 at 11:30 pm in Columbus, OH at the Grandview Theatre. The film will be released on VCD, via CD-R, on January 15, 2013. Limited "Bootleg" Edition DVD-R will be released on March 5, 2013 with Into the Madness: A Documentary. The DVD-R release is only going to be 100 copies and will be autographed.

The VCD, retitled to Traumatic Possession 2D: The Tape, will be presented in 2.35 but will be stretched from 16:9 to 4:3. Once you have it playing, allow the television to stretch the image, so you will be able to see the film properly. I will also be putting a warning about this on the disc itself. The planned selling, don't hold me to this, is going at about $3. Release week, from January 15th to January 19th, the price will be lower, much lower.

I think after I get off work tonight, I'll get started on the scripting for Ghosts of Mansfield. I am at the point where I can pretty much see how the whole film is playing out and I need to get this all written down. I was talking to Stephen about it the other night at work. And this is probably going to be great horror movie and get him prepared to do his dream movie.

And I might get around to emailing the actress for Sadisme. It's starting to pick up steam. I was discussing this with my producer and she was getting excited that I want to make something like this and shoot it on actual film. I got back to Jordan and we discussed getting to work on the script this Summer.

It's currently 5:30 in the morning as I am writing this. The 3D conversion has been going on for about two and half hours and still has four to go. Hopefully, it'll be done by the time I get up. And I will be cutting another trailer, which will probably be the last one. Don't hold me to that. I might cut some promotional trailers whenever we have festival screenings.

Been Trying to Say This Since Friday Afternoon...

December 28th, 2012 at 12:29 P.M, Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape was completed.

Post-Production to Wrap on Friday.

Well, Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape, it's time to put you to bed. It's been a long and bitter sweet journey to get you finished. This may not be the perfect film, but, it'll do. I am listening to music while looking over the video and I'll look over the sound and see if all the music fits in to the film. It's been a long three years to get this completed. I look outside at the snow whenever I take breaks and see how desolate this town has become. The street hasn't been plowed at all and it's been snowing pretty much non-stop all day.

A part of me thinks back to all of the things that have happened on this journey. Met some good people who will be sticking with the company making movies with and for me. Going to be getting the script of Ghosts of Mansfield tackled on my way up to Maryland next week. This one has been taking about a good two years to get off the ground. And I have faith Stephen will do a good job directing the film. And once he's ready, he will be doing his dream film he's been telling me about.

I'll be sending the film out in the mail to both the copyright offices and to Bob. Bob, I cannot thank this man enough for getting my film on the big screen. It really is a dream come true. However, there's one person who will make January 12th, the perfect night for me. I know I will be in the theater and really bummed out to not see you there. I think it's probably going to kill me on the inside to be there and you won't. It would be a miracle that God himself would have to bend over backwards to make it happen...

I will also be getting screener copies ready. I am going to be contacting some people over the next few days about sending out copies to get reviewed. I don't care how bad they trash it or praise it, to me, any press is good press. Especially for a film made for only $200. I have feeling that this film will make some cash. Not crazy ass money like Paranormal Activity did. I added the film to the Blu-ray.com database and updated both the Blu-ray and DVD , for the "Limited 'Bootleg' Edition", entries for the film. I am confident we can get the "Bootleg" DVD sold out within the first month of release and look at a sweet $2k from the sales. And that is ten times the film's budget right there if all 100 copies sell.

Any who, I am going to watch an episode of Tosh.0 and then get back to work. I am pretty much going to pull an all nighter if I can. Also, one more thing, if it's you in the comments; tell me the truth. I'm tired of you hiding behind a veil of secrecy. It's painful. And here's a song to dedicate to you...

Bootlegged Trailer.

From December 8th, 2012.

Working on the opening scene to Juggernaut 3D. It's going to start with a bang. Picking a goatee for facial hair was a good choice for this role. I can't see myself in this character without the goatee.

"Ghosts of Mansfield" Gets a Director. Hint: Different Stephen. LOL.

We were talking today and I am officially confirming the director of Ghosts of Mansfield, Stephen McKinney. I am writing and producing the film and will probably edit it as well. I will be present at the shoot, however, keeping myself occupied with how takes come out and getting the script for Juggernaut 3D finished. Stephen has an idea for a war film and I want to get him trained and have his skills down before he tries to do that movie. It's an odd feeling to pass down a story that I created to another person, but, I have faith that he can do this. It had to happen sooner or later that I would start producing films. Abby will have some input on the film as well; once production advances on it.

Goal is to Ghosts of Mansfield released around May to September of this year.

VCD Release, Coming January 15, 2013. Plus, Exclusive 3D DVD-R's.

I am going to be starting the process of getting my LLC up and running come New Years. I will be creating a VCD release of the film since it's short enough. The VCD release will be at the low price of $2 to $4. I will be getting back around to my Exploitation of the Third-Dimension DVD-R series. I was planning on getting this going over the summer, but getting hit by a car shelved that from happening. I will be mastering these in 720p and I will be giving more updates on those as soon as I can.

We recorded the ADR on Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape over the weekend. I need to add the final touches to the film and it is in the can. Then once we get that all done, I will start creating the subtitle track, so I can get the ball rolling on the translations. Then, Wednesday, marks both the start for the post-production on Into the Madness: A Documentary and the beginning of the scripting/pre-production on Ghosts of Mansfield. Not sure if we're going to convert this one to 3D, it will be a decision made in post-production between myself and business partners. If I had to guess, it's possible it will be 3D.

I have been coming up with ideas and notes for my long gestating Night of the Living Dead II. I heard one of Rammstein's demos for Mein Land and this demo is instrumental and I think if I could get permission, it would go great with a shootout involving the humans and zombies. I have linked it below for your listening pleasure. Still thinking about how to give the character, "Bobby", his due with a solo film. Still also need to shoot the little planned TV pilot House Arrest.

On my end, getting use to being alone. Just going to be drinking and writing this Christmas. I went out tonight and had a burger and a nice tall glass of Sam Adams to wash down my "tasty burger". I don't think any woman in this town, that is my age, is attracted to me at all. You say you make movies and they pretty much just walk away. I am planning on going out this weekend and try to meet someone again. I try not to think of my ex-fiancee, but, it's a shame she threw four years away for nothing.

Well, that's all for tonight. I am getting a hair cut in a few hours. Then, after that, get ready...

Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape on January 12th at 11:30pm!

January 13th, Prepare Yourself for 70 Minutes of 3D Horror!

We begin ADR this weekend. Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape is officially clocking in 70 minutes. This journey is over! I will begin the final edit on Into the Madness: A Documentary next week. The final output size on the film in Sony Vegas is 9.2 GB. So, we still have about 40 GB to burn on the Blu-ray release. It was finished last night and I celebrated by taking a shot of Southern Comfort. January 13th, I'm ready for you!

DONE!

"Give Me Your Eyes", New Rammstein Song.

Today is payday. I took my check and cashed it in at the bank and am going to be doing some Christmas shopping for my family. All they are getting is gift cards, I did get my brother and sister some DVDs I am sure they will like. I am waiting for my credit card payment to clear so I can order the new Rammstein single Mein Herz Brennt: Piano Version from Grooves Inc. I was on the Rammstein website and watched their new music video for Mein Herz Brennt, and I thought it was ok.

I do like this new song that they made called Gib Mir Deine Augen which translates to Give Me Your Eyes. It has this mixture of what feels like an older and newer Rammstein song. And I cannot wait for this new Blu-ray to come out with all of the music videos. This looks like it's going to be awesome. I'm hoping that they remastered them in HD and went back to original elements to some of their older music videos. I am not sure how some of them were shot, like Du Riechst So Gut and Seemann, Were they shot on VHS or film?

I got four Godzilla DVDs on the way from Thailand from eBay. They claim to be "Remastered", let's see how true this turns out to be. I got the supposed "remastered" version of Godzilla Vs Spacegodzilla and it was just a copy of the Sony DVD with some altered menus. And when I mean "altered menus", the set up page was changed to have the Thai audio select-able. I got the DVDs for Godzilla Vs Megalon, Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla, GMK, and I'm not sure if it's the 1964 or 1992 Godzilla Vs Mothra coming. It shows the 1992 artwork on the cover, but, I have been mislead before.

I'm starting to make inquiries about Sadisme. I am starting to ask around for agent info for some actresses in the "adult" industry. There's three ladies that I have in mind and I will not disclose that information at this time. I will say this about one, she has a very natural look which draws my interest in seeing if she would be interested in the role of female character, Eve. I am planning on getting a Super 8mm cartridge soon to test out and see how good my camera is. We were originally going to shoot the short film I am slowly working on called Wonder, but, I've scrapped that idea. Some of this test footage will possibly end up in Juggernaut 3D in the "nightmare" sequences.

About to go to work; but before I do, I am planning on making a trip to Best Buy to look for some Blu-rays. I am wanting to get my hands on Tales From the Crypt: Ritual and the Westerns Unchained Blu-ray. Might go catch Man with the Iron Fists tonight at the dollar. I still got some more work to do and I plan on having the final cut finished tomorrow and then working on the sound mix until the end of the month on Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape. January 13th is going to be a fun night.

London, "Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape" is Coming.

London, it's coming. Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape is going to be invading the U.K. and I couldn't be more than excited for it. Hopefully, if it screens well, we can get it some distribution over there in the U.K. I am about to head out to see Pulp Fiction here in a bit. I thought I would share this with you all.

"Juggernaut" is a Nightmare. "Sadisme" is Love. Update on the "Halloween 3D" Pitch.

No, not the X-Men character. Juggernaut is about a nightmare; one that spirals out of control. Several things that have inspired it are the films Crank, Limitless, and the novel Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It will have elements of strong action with horror. Currently, I am working on the notes and planning on writing the script around Christmas after Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape is finished. With all of the notes I am writing out, it's a nightmare based on some personal experiences. Where life goes to hell and there's nothing to stop it from happening.

If I could and I doubt it, there's a British actress I want to get on board for the film. IMDB has her agent's contact information, but I doubt it would do any good, and she'd probably laugh it off as a joke. But, you never know unless you try. Be like; "Hey, $10k for a day of work plus the travel fare?" The film will also be converted to anaglyph 3D. All films I make will be converted to the old school 3D.

Then there's Sadisme, which has been in the works for the past two years. It's finally picking up steam again. Who knows when we will actually have cameras rolling on it. I am planning on filming it with my Super 8 camera. This one will be my NC-17 film like Lust, Caution. Without a doubt, this will be NC-17 and possibly banned in some countries. I want to cause an outrage with how far you can push the limits on love in film. I am planning three different cuts; 2.35:1; open matted version; and anaglyph 3D version. The open matted version will be the 1.37:1 Super 8mm footage mixed with the 1.78:1 HD footage.

The Halloween 3D pitch is still happening. I am planning on filming in late January after Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape has it's release. Planning on uploading it in 2D and 3D once we get the pitch completed.

New Trailer You Won't See. 3D Movies...

I posted a new trailer for Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape on Youtube yesterday morning. You won't find it, though. It's an unlisted video and I uploaded it for Bob who is running the show. I got the confirmation that he got the trailer. We will have a bootlegged trailer of said trailer after it debuts on December 8th. Work is a burn out and it's making it hell for me to finish editing my film. But, I am off on Wednesday and Thursday and I will be doing strapping down and doing a hardcore editing session.

Last night after getting off work, I decided to watch two movies converted into the old school Red/Blue 3D, Men in Black 3 and Saw. Saw really wowed me. Especially with all of the footage with Dr. Gordon and Adam in the room together really worked in three dimensions. Especially towards the end of the film when Adam plays the tape. I also played back the new trailer for Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape and the 3D looked great, even for a shot of lightning which I filmed about two years ago.

I am growing a goatee right now after writing notes for the next possible film, which I am currently calling Juggernaut. I will debut the look at the premiere of TP3D. Tomorrow, I am planning on picking up a Blu-ray copy of Godzilla Vs Biollante. Cannot wait!

Writing New Notes on "Traumatic Possession 3D - Part 2".

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Hope all had a good one. Nothing much new to report from the previous post the other day. Right now I am dropping the title Traumatic Possession 3D: A New Beginning; I will be referring to it as Traumatic Possession 3D - Part 2. I am going back and forth from home to the local movie theater to see this actress' performance, the one I want for Traumatic Possession 3D - Part 2. I also have another one of her film's on Blu-ray, but she only had a bit part; it's not much to work with. I want her for this film. If I cannot get this actress, I will not make the film! I want this actress on board, badly.

There's a comedian I want to get for this as well. I think what we'll do is shoot a fifteen minute pitch and send the pitch to both of their agents. Once we screen Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape and then have the DVD and Digital release and we will start production on the pitch. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to afford to shoot with an actual 3D camera.

I did do some Black Friday shopping after I got off work. I was at Target and got what I was after; Prometheus on Blu-ray for $10 and Call of Duty: Black Ops for the PS3 for $15. Also went over to Best Buy and picked up Project X and Wrath of the Titans for $4 each. So, it wasn't a complete bust, but, last Black Friday was better.

I will be doing all the paper work here in the next few weeks and getting my business started. It's a very tiring process and I have to get to an EID and a bank account set up before I start selling the film on Amazon. I am looking forward to getting it all taken care of.

Peace out.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I have been sick and have not been able to finish the final cut of Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape. However, the image above is what I have been doing in Sony Vegas using color correction and various other effects to make the film look like it was made on a big budget and not for $200. I believe I might have all ready mentioned this, but this stuff has not been cropped back down to scope and I am using the original 1.78:1 footage we shot the film with. Last year, I went in and cropped the film to scope, that was mostly a waste of time. With Sony Vegas, I am going to be copying the project files and then go in for each one and create the 1.33:1 and 2.35:1 versions of the film. 1.78:1 feels too sloppy for me. I prefer a broad image and scope, 2.35:1, is my canvas of choice for when we make movies.

Thanksgiving was ok. Was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the dollar theater got Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, but was only in 2D. Saw it again for the third time and plan to probably catch it again on either Monday or Tuesday when I have my next day off. I am about to head out to my job and start my Black Friday duties. Hopefully, this will be my final year and Winter 2013, I will be chilling on the shores of Waikiki.

Have a great Thanksgiving, y'all. And if you're in Columbus, there's going to be a special new trailer coming December 8th for Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape. So, stay tuned. And I am not posting this on Youtube either. Can't be posting all of my material on Youtube.

Going Through "Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape".

I am in the process of editing together Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape. I think come December, after it's finished, I will start working on the script for the sequel; Traumatic Possession 3D: A New Beginning. How long it will take before it gets made is all up to how much money the film and my other projects make in DVD sales on Amazon. There's an actress who I want to get and I am prepared to pay up for an IMDb Pro account to get the contact information. This actress has done horror before, but, I know this one will not be a cheap sell.

I am going through the editing process and going through the original 1.78:1 footage we shot with. It's driving me apeshit looking at the film filling up the whole television screen. I keep telling myself; "It will be back in scope soon!"

The main reason why I am editing the old 1.78:1 footage is so I can create the old full-frame, 1.33:1, version for the "Video Cut". I was also reading Michael J. Bassett's blog a while ago where he talked about having to create a cropped 1.33:1 cut for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. I am working on title screens and making sure that I can keep them dead center without losing any of them in 2.35:1 or in 1.33:1.

It's surreal to think that Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape will be getting a theatrical screening. I want to thank Dr. Bob Tesla for taking a chance on me. This is something that I am extreme proud of and cannot thank this man enough. I am going to be cutting a special trailer for the December 8th show.

I bought two video games yesterday; Army of Two: The 40th Day and Medal of Honor for the PS3. Paid about $20 for both of those games together. Started really getting into Medal of Honor, but, I am not playing it too much as I am finishing the film. I liked going in and killing terrorists. Gives me an idea for a war film.

Picture Locks on December 20th, 2012. And Stalkers.

Ok, I am still alive. Loving the new place, not planning on getting internet. However, I am working on finishing Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape. Abby Smith, my co-producer has been helping me go through and weed through it. We will start the sound mix here in another week or so. Picture will be locked on December 20th. That's when I will be mailing out a copy to the theater in Columbus that will be screening in it in January.

Other than that, I got into a relationship with a stalker. But, officially on the market again. Would get text messages stating that she would be watching me. I was freaked out a bit. It made me think of a Vice video I saw on a Japanese cannibal who hacked out a Danish woman and left her dismembered body in a suitcase in a park.

Might have another short film in the works. Working title for it is Wonder.

Going Offline aka Follow Me on Twitter.

Before I begin my post, I would like my fan to reveal themselves. If possible, follow me on Twitter at OfficialSFTwit! Since you are one of my first online fans, I want to let you in on Campaign. I'll gladly reveal what it is to you and let you read the script, because it is online since I cannot copyright it.

All right. I am moving to a new place. I don't plan on being online for a while as I am taking time off from the internet. Update on the lawsuit, punk isn't doing nothing. This "Damien Cain" is not real. He can file suit if he wants, but I'll counter with a defamation of character and for damages. Since he was going on about Halloween 3D, I decided that I am going to do another pitch besides what Campaign is.

So, with this time away from the computer, I will be writing reviews and working on the script for this pitch. Again, like Campaign, ten pages long. And I will be working on editing Campaign as I will be going in frame-by-frame and work on the VFX. And with this Halloween 3D pitch, I will upload it in both 2D and anaglyph 3D. I will show you how this pitch is done. Want to file a lawsuit against me; what a bunch of bullshit.

So, I am packing right now. It's a pain in the ass. But, I got the keys to my place and everything is starting to look good. I was going to go in depth about this, so, spoilers to all. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D! I went to see for a second time and this time in 2D whereas I caught the midnight screening in 3D; I really loved the ending and how it set up Silent Hill 2, albeit a bastardized version of it; Silent Hill: Origins; and Silent Hill: Downpour as the next possible sequel. But, yeah, I hated Silent Hill 3 as a video game but I loved the film adaption. It's been getting a lot of shit, but I really enjoyed it. I was texting my best bud from Germany and brought up that it would be awesome if this was dubbed in German.

So, this isn't goodbye. In the words of Schwarzenegger, "I'll be back." And as I was cleaning and clearing out trash, I found this:

Wish you were here.

I Look Forward to my Lawsuit on Halloween.

I'll be making a video blog about this too. But, I am about to go to bed, I got to work at 8 am. Let me just say that there is no truth to what I am about to say. It is completely libel and I can actually file lawsuit for defamation of character and believe me, I will strongly consider it. Supposedly, there is a screenwriter out there named Damien Cain. If he is indeed real and this supposed "next big thing in horror" is filing a lawsuit against me for simply erasing and denying all of existence of him writing Halloween 3D. He erroneously calls me Orlando West and states; "Orlando West Made a Huge Mistake". Also states; "My lawyers are pursuing  a lawsuit since he tampered with real source in the credits".

This "Damien Cain" has an IMDB page, but the page is blank whereas my IMDB page does have credits where you can actually visit those, short, film credits and rate and go on the message boards and comment and have a good time. Yes, I am feeding a troll and you shouldn't feed a troll. However, I have never had a troll claim lawsuit against me. You have no grounds on this. You have no proof that you are attached to Halloween 3D. And as of October of 2012, Halloween 3D is dead in the water because we would have had by now.

What I also like is that this "Damien Cain" has also gone on the IMDB and produced links, albeit fake, to watch a workprint of Fede Alverez remake of The Evil Dead. This is a no-no and I can easily forward this over to Sony and FilmDistrict who are handling this film and claim that the "next big thing in horror" screenwriter Damien Cain is leaking your film on the net. Also, "Damien Cain" is also making claims that he's worked on or is writing remakes and sequels to the following films; Demons, Friday the 13th, Evil Dead IV: Consequences; A Nightmare on Elm St. 2; and Scream 5.

If this "Damien Cain" can afford the legal fees to get a lawyer, please do. I appreciate the invalid and libel claims about me tampering with anything. I do not have any connections, yet, with The Weinstein Company and/or Platinum Dunes. Who knows, maybe in the next few years when I get some stuff off the ground. Hell, maybe if Campaign goes viral and I hope it does. You cannot file suit against someone who could have deleted some credits; IMDB is basically a glorified Wikipedia and anyone can update it.

Give some concrete evidence that you are working on this film. I have been working my ass off to try to give IMDB concrete evidence that I was a Production Assistant on the television show Lost, but they keep denying my credit. But, my page will be updating with Campaign; On the Road: Season One; Traumatic Possession 3D - Part 1: The Tape; and Into the Madness: A Documentary is going to be on IMDB in the coming months. That's called "working your ass off", Damien. You should try that if you want to make it in the business.

Cheers,
Orlando Eastwood.

Misery Loves Company...

Ok, had a busy weekend back on the 13th and 14th. Fun times filming and we'll be out filming on the 26th through 28th on Campaign. We shot the B-Roll footage of the film back over the past weekend and we posted a thirty five second preview of that B-Roll footage, which is what you see above.

Also, I filmed my cousin and co-producer on Campaign; Abby Smith as She-Gor at Dr. Bob's Midnight Monster Movies. It took six hours to upload the fifteen minute video because it's HD. Ugh, it felt like an eternity. But, it was fun to shoot and I entered the costume contest as Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. I took third place and got three free passes to the Grandview and an Iron Man 2 toy that's like a Polly Pocket but it's War Machine's head, lol. Then after the contest we watched Nosferatu on the big screen and that was fucking beautiful to see on the big screen. If you are ever near Columbus, and it's the second Saturday, go check out the Midnight Monster Movies with Dr. Bob Tesla. Especially in January! When Traumatic Possession 3D - Part I: The Tape comes out.

And I've started a webseries called On the Road. Season one will consist of four episodes that will be thirty to forty-five minutes in length. Above is the intro, which has been altered since I've uploaded it. It displayed brighter than what it was on Sony Vegas. The show's premise is me hitting the road with buddies and splicing in old Public Domain films at the same time. Since we filmed the pilot on October 13th on my route to seeing Nosferatu, we cut footage of the film in with that episode. On the Road: Season One will be released on a DVD-R via Amazon on March 5th, 2013. Episode two is all ready being planned out. Episode three will be filmed in January when we go to the premiere of Traumatic Possession 3D - Part I. Episode four will be filmed in February with the DVD-R coming out the following month.

A buddy of mine who has been wanting to make movies, pitched a project to me. Basically what I did was that I brought him on for being the co-producer and casting director for Ghosts of Mansfield. He was wanting to do something paranormal and this thing had been on the back burner for the past two years. So, we'll probably film in December or January; depending on weather conditions. Other than that, it is exciting, but at the same time; I am miserable. I am going to be moving into my new home here in a few weeks and I will be taking some much needed time off from the internet. I am having these bad dreams about my ex and it's fucking haunting. And to have these dreams is giving me this horrible bout of depression and I am just constantly bitter towards everyone and everything. I really wish these things would go away. Hopefully, my move will do that. Other than that, I am going to head to Best Buy tomorrow and do an Upgrade and Save and pick up the double feature Blu-ray for I Spit on Your Grave for $5.

Cloud Atlas aka 10/12/12 aka "CAMPAIGN" Motherfucker!

I caught the five minute long trailer of Cloud Atlas the other day and I am not impressed with it. It seems that Andy and Larry or Lana keep trying to make something that's trying to be the next Star Wars or Blade Runner. After watching those Matrix sequels and Speed Racer, I've lost the faith that they could actually make a good movie. In the Matrix Revolutions with that kid screaming; "Zion! Zion, we did it! The war is over! The war is over!" You think? They are no longer dying left and right in front you, asshat! And Speed Racer, only saving graces to that film was Benno Furmann and Matthew Fox. Other than that, the movie was a horrible adaption of the classic anime.

I don't see Cloud Atlas making a lot of money; worldwide, I think it'll be ok. But in the U.S? No way in hell.   I think that the Wachowski's had massive potentials to be the next James Cameron. Because James Cameron is the greatest filmmaker; he's made films that everyone wants to watch and has films make billions of dollars worldwide.

I know this blog posting won't be that long. I am heading out of town either tonight or tomorrow morning and  I have to get ready for the trip. Will be filming some B-Roll footage of Columbus to have it double for New York City in "CAMPAIGN". I got the shirt needed for filming the other day and it looks perfect. The test photos in the shirt also look amazing. That's why I posted the "CENSORED" photo above. I'm gathering the crew together and things are looking to be pretty good.

I am moving in to my new home at the beginning of November and I will be looking at getting a second job to help support myself. That means that I will be giving up the internet for a while, but, I will be off doing what I love in the mean time. And speaking of being off the internet; since the monitor is fried on my laptop, I will not be taking it with me this weekend to Columbus. So, whatever footage that I'll be posting of the "CAMPAIGN" B-Roll will not be up until the early hours of Monday.

Since I am still rusty on Sony Vegas, I have been going in and slowly remastering my old film class PSA's in 720p HD. It's been tough, but fun. Below is the PSA I did called Ouch... Wear Sunscreen. It was filmed in November of 2006 and I had been back in Hawaii for about five months. I acted, co-produced, and was one of the editors on it. I only had the final cut in standard definition and none of the raw footage because it doesn't exist anymore. Luckily, I had that and not the television recording which I had on my old Youtube channel. With the remaster, I added some grain to give it a film-like look. Also, added a bit of yellow tinting to the image to help even out the harsh blue from my old miniDV camera. Even though it was a film class assignment, I actually brought my own equipment to shoot with because I didn't want to waste time on taking stuff from the studio. And finally went in scene-by-scene and re-framed it from 4:3 to 16:9. It looks good considering I blew it up from 640x360 to 1280x720 in terms of resolution.

And above is the old television recording that only managed to survive off of Youtube. I had a hard drive crash and sadly all of the television recordings were lost except for Crisis. Even the Depression Hurts PSA was lost too. I don't even have a digital file for that one, I only acted in it and couldn't find the miniDV from that group's collection of projects to make my own copy. I have all of the PSA's that I worked on except for one where I did a voice over impersonation of Foghorn Leghorn. I've been asking around for it and all of the people who I know that worked on it do not have a copy. So, I've officially called it "lost". It's a shame because I really felt proud of that impression.

I have also been listening to the Silent Hill: Book of Memories soundtrack off of Youtube. The Book of Memories version of Love Psalm is pretty damn good. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is changing my views on her with everything that went down on that Silent Hill: HD Collection release. Daniel Licht is also doing a good job of composing the music. And two more weeks until Silent Hill: Revelations 3D hits theaters! Must refresh myself on Silent Hill 3 before I get around to seeing the movie. Also, I've been keeping my eyes out on a poster for the new movie. I have an autographed mini-poster of the first film and would like to get keep the tradition going for this one.

Selling Out aka IMBD, Quit Playin' Games With My Heart!

All right, I am getting into it with the IMDB over having my Production Assistant credit from Lost added to my IMDB page. Yes, that Lost. The 2004 television show that was shot in Hawai'i. In April 2008, my friends and I all arrived at school to see that there was lockers in the junior hall. Being as this is an outdoor school, we don't have lockers. We inspected them and noticed that they were very small. Principal and some of the other heads of the school were telling us to move along and not to bother them. We knew something was going on, but in no way did we know that it was going to be this big. I remember that day, I was in my film class the whole day. My teacher, told me the news that some location scouts came to the school and decided that it was fit for filming the flashback scenes for an episode. That's all that we were told.

Classes at this school are three a day, six total for the credit hours, so classes switched out everyday. I was in the middle of my teacher's assistant course where I helped out in the film class and I was offered a chance to go help out and get some hands on experience. Now, you got to understand something, this was not a normal hands on job. It was the real deal. I went up to the junior area where they were prepping everything. A woman who was like vulture got on me as soon as I stepped foot past the first class room got on me and after trying to explain to her that I was called; another producer came out and he greeted me and sent her off. He told me to come back at the end of the day and he'll show me the ropes.

I walk back down the hall closest to the building where my film class was at and I was kinda surprised by what I just experienced. I went back to talk to my teacher and she was excited that I am achieving what I want to do with my life and it was with such a major television show. I remember going back into the second studio in the building as the first studio with the control room was being used by the students who's papers I usually grade.

The feelings and thoughts going through my head were kinda like; "Wow! This is Lost and you are now a part it coming to life from production to screen." It was surreal. After the day passed and everyone was waiting for buses, I went up the hall that was filled with students who were told that they cannot go past this point. I go up to the security guard and I tell him that I was asked to be apart of helping around the show. After a minute, he asks for an ID and I pull out my military ID to verify that I am Stephen Flannery. After that, he let me go right past him and the producer who I met earlier greeted me. I signed some documents stating that I would not tell anyone what I saw until after it aired.

We proceeded to go around the sets that were created on campus. Since most of the classes are pretty much set as is, there's not much to do in terms of work. All I did was help place a few things here and there in the health room which doubled as some teacher's office. There was a silver plate and some glass tea sets and some other stuff around. Also, there was guys putting up these wooden plaques all over the filming area of the fake school. The school in this episode was called Corwin Heights which was supposedly out in California somewhere.

The producer and I talked about various stuff while going around and checking if everything was ready to go. First thing off the bat; "Do you watch Lost? Do you have any knowledge of the show?" I gave him the rundown on how I first saw the show. I was in Germany and I saw it dubbed in German before the government AFN stations got it for us to view in English. So, by the time season one was over, it was playing on those AFN stations. And that after I made it back to the U.S. and had cable and hundreds of other channels that my interest in the show was kinda lost; pun!

One of the main things that I had asked was what J.J. Abrams' input was because Cloverfield came out three months prior and I was wanting to know how he went back and fourth from Lost to Cloverfield. He told me, straight up, that it is all him. Something around the lines was said that J.J. comes in once a month and gives all the producers and others bottles of champagne and would tell them "Thank you for your hard work".

Met the actors; and seeing as this was a flashback segment being filmed here, I knew off the top of my head who this flashback was centered on. The producer, he asked me at one point if I knew who it could be. I told him and he kinda chuckled and just continued on. Several hours had passed it was finally getting late and we said our goodbyes and he wished me the best in my career as a filmmaker.

So, now we are onto the IMDB. I am having a problem getting this P.A. credit added. Besides one photo I have of me on the set, I do not have anything else to prove that I was even working on the show. After oddly going up against them for years on getting Maze of Thought, Crisis, and Truth in Meanings added; now they are fighting against me again and not believing that I did this. Here is the only photo that proves that I was on the set of Lost:

Now; for the "Selling Out" part of this blog entry. I know I wrote a shit ton all ready, but after everything that is going on, I feel like being a bit of an ass. I was discussing with my cousin The Evil Dead remake and the draft that was written by the director before Diablo Cody was brought in to give it a polish. This thing is fucking atrocious and it is nothing like the original Sam Raimi film. To sum the script, it has no soul that can be swallowed.

To spoil the draft of the script, the characters are one dimensional and you can honestly careless who is who. It likes to make you think that this character is the lead when all of the sudden it pulls a magic trick on you and this person is actually the lead. This film was made for nothing more to piss off fans. I feel this is straight up deliberate, maybe for hating on Spider-Man 3. There is no way that Sam Raimi could honestly feel this could compete with his original classic. With Diablo Cody doing a polish just makes it a million times worse. I hated her hipster bullshit dialog that she put in Juno and Jennifer's Body. I am not giving Young Adult a chance, seeing as how Charlize Theron's character in the trailer wants to court an ex-boyfriend who's now a married man, is fucking stupid.

So, with "CAMPAIGN" going on; I essentially realized that this is basically what selling out is, to the internet cool kids. So, without listing what "CAMPAIGN" is. I am going to create a list of stuff that I want to make or remake or a character I want to portray.

#5
Turkish for Beginners

This is a German television series that was adapted into a film in 2012. After viewing the film and seeing some of the episodes of the television series; I would like to adapt the film for an English speaking audience. I felt that the film version worked a million times better than the show. With the show, it felt kinda incestuous as the two characters had lived under one roof for a certain amount of time and then they fall in love.

The film version plays out like a reluctant romantic comedy with a Cast Away type theme. A girl who is going on vacation with her crazed mother ends up stranded with a brother and sister and a Greek traveler who has a stutter. The girl tries to be the leader of the group and fails miserably and through a turn of events falls in love.

#4
The Hitcher

Sadly, I feel that the 2007 remake did way too much damage to the original film. If Sean Bean was not playing John Ryder in it, I would completely disown the film. What I really loved about the original is the dedication that John Ryder has to destroy Jim. To show Jim what hell really is. The remake had no soul to it. Hell, the straight to video sequel The Hitcher II: I've Been Waiting... is a much better film that the 2007 remake.

#3
Suzanne's Diary For Nicholas

It was given a television movie in 2005 with Christina Applegate. While the TV movie was all right, I felt there could have been more of an emotional punch with the material that James Patterson had written. I remember reading the book in 2007 and being amazed by it. This was completely different from most of the Alex Cross novels that I had written. I feel I could make a better adaption of this film.

#2
Alone in the Dark

My close friends know that I was working with Uwe Boll in 2008 and that I was working on some stuff for him that went nowhere. Did a draft of Janjaweed aka Attack on Darfur, treatment for In the Name of the King 2, and a pitch for Alone in the Dark III. I know most people would fret over seeing Uwe's name attached to anything; but, I was planning to get Alone in the Dark III made and was real damn close too. This adaption was planned to be an actual adaption of the first video from the early 1990's.

#1
Silent Hill

As much as I love the Christophe Gans film and cannot wait to see the new film coming out at the end of the month. I would love to do a trilogy based on the Silent Hill series. My favorite of the games is Silent Hill 2; Silent Hill: Shattered Memories; and Silent Hill Origins. I would really love to portray James Sunderland in a Silent Hill 2 adaption. We did a fake trailer almost six years ago and for the time I liked it; I would like to go out and do another one just as a pitch to help achieve that goal.

Writing Reviews are a Pain in the Ass aka Nothing!

I just finished writing a review on my Blu-ray blog of the double feature Blu-ray of The Crow: City of Angels and The Crow: Wicked Prayer. I forgot how much I fucking hated Wicked Prayer. That was a series where the first two films were enjoyable and then after that, it went downhill very fast. Watching Wicked Prayer tonight showed me how much I could just loathe a movie's existence. I was slacking hardcore last year as I wrote thirty-four reviews here and there. Then again, maybe I wasn't slacking; I just happened to have had things going on in my life where writing was a dead end.

Then again, I realized that writing reviews can be a real pain in the ass. I started The Avengers 3D and this thing is taking forever for me to finish the review. And you know what does it? Bonus materials. I made it through the 100 minute bonus Blu-ray disc from the Target exclusive of The Avengers 3D; now I just have to finish the bonus materials on the regular disc. Maybe I can get it done tomorrow before I head out.

Up above is the Blu-rays I got for my birthday. I scored Demolition Man for free at work. I had a pick of a $10 Blu-ray and I about grabbed Blitz with Jason Statham and then the other day at work, I went by the Blu-rays and saw that it had dropped down to $7.50. I was like; "SOB!" Turkish for Beginners is not pictured because it hasn't arrived yet. I think I might have gotten burned on that one because it might be a pirated copy. Like an idiot I am at times, I decided to look through the sellers feedback after I made the purchase and some of them said; "BD-R bootlegs! I calculated the prices and spent $79 on all those and that includes Turkish for Beginners, which isn't present.

I have been watching Thumps Up on Youtube. It is one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. Artist David Choe is now one of my heroes. He's hitchhiking across countries and documenting it. I stumbled across the third season of them in China and it's hands down one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.

Other than that, there isn't much to report. Getting ready to post some casting calls for "CAMPAIGN" and some pick up shots for Traumatic Possession 3D. And speaking of Traumatic Possession 3D, the title is going to be changed again to Traumatic Possession 3D - Part One: The Tape. After thinking about it, you have to sell the film to your audience and I felt just saying that the title is Traumatic Possession 3D wasn't fully going to sell it; adding the subtitle and "part one" to the title would tell you that there's going to be more than one film, because there is.

The sequel is Traumatic Possession 3D - Part Two: A New Beginning. When we did the drunken interview in 2011 for Into the Madness: A Documentary, I gave the whole spiel on what that subtitle was a reference too, yet at the same time explaining that the sequel is a reboot. We have the theatrical premiere on January 13th which is a Sunday at midnight. The DVD-R will be up on Amazon the following Tuesday which is January 15th. We will be launching a website in the next few months and try to create some webshows that we can then put out on DVD along with films we make. More content equals more dollars.

Good night, everyone.

P.S: To my fan who is posting in my comments section, go ahead and shoot me an email at oeastwood92189@gmail.com and I'll tell you what "CAMPAIGN" is. I am only letting a few people outside of the project know what it is.

The World is Yours aka My 23rd B-day! aka Your Mom's Box!

Today is September 24th, 2012. I originally wrote a blog detailing September 21st, which was my 23rd birthday. Something happen and that blog post disappeared. So, I am a little pissed off about that. I wrote a very long post and it was just gone; if I can find it, I'll try to post it. Yesterday the 23rd, I went to the Halloween shop to look for some prop guns for filming "CAMPAIGN" and to my surprise, I found an M16 and a pistol that look very nice.

I sent my co-producer/script editor photoshopped images of these test photos since there's supposed to be an image on the shirt. I stated that the beard and facial hair will be shaved off in time for filming. Also, we discussed whether or not I would have my hair cut short like a military buzz cut or grown out long and gelled back. Ultimately, grown out and gelled back. I especially liked that hairstyle on the character and two of the three film adaptions had the character actually like that.

But, let's go back to September 21st, 2012; my twenty-third birthday. Had me a little 3D double feature of Resident Evil: Retribution and Dredd. I really liked Dredd 3D and I would recommend it over Resident Evil: Retribution 3D. Karl Urban and this whole gritty and violent universe that we have Judge Dredd in makes for a good two hour flick. Lena Headey was awesome and skanky hot as the drug queenpin Ma-Ma. Then again, I have an all around fondness of Lena Headey ever since I saw her as the queen in 300 in 2007.

One thing though, my local movie theater sucks; I was wanting to see The Master; P.T. Anderson's new film; but they didn't get it. Instead we're stuck with the bullshit anti-propaganda Obama film 2016: Obama's America. I don't really care who gets elected president, but seriously, keep bullshit propaganda like this out of the fucking movie theaters. There's better shit that deserves to be played, like The Master. 2016: Obama's America deserves nothing more than to be a Youtube video that gets a few hundred hits and then no one will remember it after a month or two. This piece of shit probably cost less than what Traumatic Possession 3D cost because all of this Obama footage that is used is Public Domain because Dinesh D'souza and John Sullivan are fuckin' hacks that put Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton to shame. All though, with Dunstan and Melton, I am warming up to them after those horrible Feast sequels and Saw IV & Saw V. I felt Feast, Saw VI, Saw 3D, and I felt Piranha 3DD was average for a sequel.

Back to what I was going to talk about; Resident Evil: Retribution 3D. My biggest question is why bother trying to add game characters to the film universe? Oh, yeah, we had S.T.A.R.S. in Resident Evil: Apocalypse and the Nemesis killed them like it was nothing, but, we're going to put Barry Burton in this film for the hell of it. You know, my patience is wearing really thin with these films in terms of how this is not Resident Evil aka Biohazard. Alice, the Red Queen, Luther West, etc, etc; are not video game characters. Jill Valentine and Albert Wesker were there from the beginning of the first Playstation game. Putting that aside and seeing it as it's own independent series, it's enjoyable. They should have called Biohazard; it would have been a more appropriate title for this. My biggest problem with this is how Wesker is portrayed with this; the trailer vs the film is completely different without giving it completely away.

I would give Dredd 3D an 9/10 and Resident Evil: Retribution 3D a 7/10. After seeing the movies; we took a look at the trailer I will be buying. Feels nice to be a homeowner. Cannot wait to move into it. Bought some movies for birthday; two arrived early, Cleanskin and the double feature Blu-ray of The Crow: City of Angels and The Crow: Wicked Prayer. On my birthday, I picked up the Blu-rays of Gran Torino, Hostel, and the double feature of Universal Soldier and Lock Up. While on the 22nd, I went to the local Volunteers of America and found a sealed Blu-ray of The Time Traveler's Wife for $3. And then yesterday, I found a sealed Blu-ray copy of The Pebble and the Penguin at Goodwill for $5. And then off the net, I won a German Blu-ray of Türkisch für Anfänger for $13 off eBay. And then bought a Blu-ray off of a buddy on the Blu-ray.com forum; the Region Free UK release of John Woo's Red Cliff for $8. I do plan on doing reviews for all of these on my Blu-ray Review Blog.

Tomorrow, I am picking up my Blu-ray copy of The Avengers 3D and I am not paying a dime for it. I got a $20 Target gift card from my sister and brother. And due to an error in the ad, the mega 3D combo pack is going to be the price of the Blu-ray and DVD combo pack for $20 at Target. With whatever I have left after using a discount, I'll be putting whatever is left on my gift card towards buying the Blu-ray for the 2004 adaption of The Punisher. It's currently going for $5 on Target.com. I have Punisher: War Zone and I would like whoever owns the rights to the 1989 adaption of The Punisher starring Dolph Lundgren to make it's way on Blu-ray. I would buy that in an instant.

So, for the rest of the day, I am going to get some writing done. Probably get around to putting that short film reel together for Youtube and have all three short films as one video file for viewing. I was contemplating catching Finding Nemo 3D, but I have all ready missed the first showing of the day and I am not going to a later screening with kids being out of school and parents probably taking their mouth breathers to watch this. As my last thing to bring up, I have a song I want to dedicate to someone. You know who you are. Peace out.

"Campaign", Third Draft. B-Roll Filming on 10/13.

Still prepping pick up shots for Traumatic Possession 3D. Got my buddy Alex coming in to do a scene and his footage will also be used in Into the Madness: A Documentary. However, I am giving an update on my little project called Campaign. B-Roll footage will be shooting on October 13th and 14th in Columbus, OH. The footage, which will probably be ten seconds of screen time, will have Columbus doubling as New York City. Back on the 18th, my script editor and co-producer went over the second draft which leads to me making some slight corrections and hopefully the third draft will be the shooting script. Liked the building to the character's reveal. Said character was going to be popping up all throughout the short, but, we cut most of it to help the build up and reveal.

Above is the title treatment I have come up with. The font is "Capture It" which can be found at Font Squirrel. I was on eBay looking up shirts to fit the title character. I found two which I really liked and after discussing it with my script editor/co-producer, we settled on the second shirt. So, I'll be placing an order soon to get that shirt. Also, going over Frank Nora music to get a feel of what I want to use for the short film. I don't want to put anything copyrighted in this even though I cannot copyright this short film myself.

Announcing My Little Short Film Entitled "Campaign".

Seeing as how Kevin Tancharoen had some good luck doing his Mortal Kombat: Rebirth short film; I kept having the idea of doing a short on a Marvel comic book character that I want to portray. The title of the short film is called Campaign. The first draft that I wrote this morning was twelve pages long. It was two pages longer than I wanted it to be. I am working on the second draft right now and I am trying to shorten it down to ten pages in length.

A problem I had with this character and his universe was the lack of female of villains. After reading that DareDevil made his way back to Marvel and Disney, I figured we could bring a key female character from the DD universe over to this short film. Also, Matt Murdock aka DareDevil is brought up in this story, but not seen.

I gave the first draft to my co-producer of Into the Madness: A Documentary and she thought it had potential and that I should tweak it up some to get it down to ten pages. Second draft is finished. And I'll be messaging it to her in a few hours before I go to work. I'm hoping this could open the door for me to get to play this character. It's one of my favorite characters and the three film adaptions done on him have been decent, but I hope I can breathe some life into the character and get him back on the big screen.

Oh, IMDB. Do You Love Me That Much?

No real news to report right now. Just getting some contracts in order for the pick up shots for Traumatic Possession 3D. Filming should be completed first weekend of October at the earliest and the theatrical screening/premiere should be around December or January. But, let's talk about what I wrote in the subject heading; the "Internet Movie Database".

I guess I just have to be thankful for living in the digital age that I am in. I don't think I would be able to make it as a filmmaker if I was living in another time before now. Hell, even a few years ago, it was nearly impossible for me to get anything up there. I still haven't resubmitted Maze of Thought which was my first short film. Two weeks ago, out of the blue, I decided to go in and resubmit Crisis and was thinking that this is just going to be a waste of time. I was wrong and Crisis is now listed on the IMDB.

That was September 7th, 2012 that it finally popped up. Two days later; I decided to go in and resubmit Truth in Meanings which is my third short film before graduating high school in Hawai'i. Seeing as Crisis only took two days to be added, Truth in Meanings took longer. I submitted it on the 9th and when I came home today, very sick, Truth in Meanings was up on IMDB to my surprise.

I will probably get around to adding a head shot to my page and make some posters for the short films whenever I get some money rolling in from getting Traumatic Possession 3D released. I need to get a new head shot made; my current one is a good five years old and as much as I love it, time to get a new one.

It gives me a feeling of pride that my work is getting the recognition it deserves to be listed on the IMDB. It makes me feel more legitimate, especially now when it comes time to put out the casting calls and such. Looking back and seeing that it's been almost eight years since Maze of Thought was made back while I was a teenager living in Germany really brought back those feelings that I was out to accomplish something and to get my name out there.

Got the cover art mostly completed for the Bootleg Edition of Traumatic Possession 3D. Can't post nothing yet on it until we get all the filming completed and have the final cut ready to go. Final cut should be ready by the beginning of November. Then I just have to go through and finish the 3D conversion and we are good to go on having everything ready. Not sure yet on whether or not I want to screen the 3D or 2D version of Traumatic Possession 3D. I will have buy 3D glasses so that the audience can enjoy it.

Seeing as I have the day off from work today, I am just going to get my paycheck; hope my Blu-ray copy of Piranha 3DD arrives in the mail; and do some writing. Was contemplating going to see either Finding Nemo 3D or Resident Evil: Retribution 3D, but, I need to save money. My birthday is next Friday and I am looking forward to seeing Dredd 3D. I liked the use of La Roux's In for the Kill in the trailer. Hard to believe that I will be twenty-three this year.

Announcing the "Traumatic Possession 3D" Bootleg Edition - Limited Edition.

After going back and forth and finally deciding; I will be making a limited DVD-R edition consisting of 100 copies. These copies will be signed and numbered by me. They will be sold exclusively on my site and not on Amazon. I have not decided how many discs this set will be, but, I am going to give you a run down on it:

  1. Anaglyph 3D (Green / Magenta) Version
    • Aspect Ratio: 2.35:1 - 16x9 Enhanced
    • 2.0 Audio (with score)
    • 2.0 Audio (without score)
    • Commentary
  2. 2D Version
    • Aspect Ratio: 2.35:1 - 16x9 Enhanced
    • 2.0 Audio (with score)
    • 2.0 Audio (without score)
    • Commentary
  3. “2D” Video Version
    • Aspect Ratio: 1.33:1 - 16x9 Enhanced
    • 2.0 Audio (without score)
  4. Open Matted Workprint Version
    • Aspect Ratio: 1.78:1 - 16x9 Enhanced
    • 2.0 Audio (without score)

The "2D" Video Version is going to be sourced from the open matted 1.78:1 footage which we are editing the film in. I gave an example of what the film will look like on the Traumatic Possession 3D Facebook page. You will lose some image on the left and right sides, however, you gain image on the top and bottom. I will be sourcing it to a worn VHS tape to give it that feeling that you are watching a found footage film. The work print version that is listed is an incomplete version of the film that sat on my hard drive before pick up shots are finished.

Right now, I have no set price for this as I have to buy DVD-R to duplicate the set; how many DVD-R discs I will need per set; cases that can fit all the discs in it; 3D glasses and how many I need to put in each set; these are some factors that are clouding me giving this set a solid price. However, I can say that this set will hopefully come out a month it's Amazon release.

Long Time No See.

Long time no see. At the bottom of this blog post is two raw footage clips that I have uploaded on Youtube for Into the Madness: A Documentary. Part of the first clip was debuted back in April of 2011 for my sixth anniversary and here we are close to 2013 for my eighth. For some reason, the first clip is stretched to 1.78:1 from 2.35:1. I don't know why that is. I previewed it before I uploaded it and it was perfectly fine in scope. Second clip is displayed correctly. Planned for release on CreateSpace/Amazon in 2013. I've been discussing the plans for releasing the film that route on Digital Rental, Download, and DVD-R.

Right now, the prices we're playing around with are $1.50 for the rental and the Digital Download and DVD-R will both be $7.50. And the reason why is because they will both be essentially the same. If all goes according to plan, and I hope to Godzilla that it does, this will probably be out in February 2013. If you own a Blu-ray player, I encourage you to rent it because whatever money we get from these sales will contribute to the Blu-ray release.

I'm gearing up to do some more shooting here in the next few weeks, we're finally doing the reshots to Traumatic Possession 3D; which will also mean that Into the Madness: A Documentary will be completed with that. We're also gearing up to film House Arrest, Ghosts of Mansfield, Susan's Not Here, and if possible Tode Im Winter 3D. Plan is to have one out every month on Amazon in 2013.

Prepping "TP3D" Reshoots & Re-evaluating the Blu-ray Releases.

Long time no talk on this blog. I have been writing Blu-ray reviews over at this blog. I have exported all of the Blu-ray reviews from January 2009 to March 2012 that I wrote on the Blu-ray website. I am getting ready to finalize the contracts for Traumatic Possession 3D and Into the Madness since I want the "Behind-the-Scenes" to be it's own movie. Into the Madness tracks the long journey of getting this film finished. In between getting the stuff finalized; I have been discussing the planned potential Blu-rays for The Orlando Eastwood Collection and Nosferatu. I discussed plans at which I am comfortable with and hope that I can stick with it. I know I went in-depth in a previous blog post, but, my ghost haunting documentary Ghosts of Mansfield is becoming more a reality everyday.

The Hitch-Hiker 3D will most likely start rolling in July. I've pushed it back by two months because I am planning on spending some quality time with my fiancee in Mid-May. And June is when we film our possible one night of hell: Ghosts of Mansfield. I am getting another camera or two; one I saw was a helmet cam, but the only problem is that it is a standard definition camera. Considering the price of $20, I am considering biting on it and making the helmet cam footage the B-Roll for when we are cutting in between the two 720p HD cams I am shooting with.

Talking about data, shooting in 720p, my 8GB SDHC card can fit ninety minutes of footage in 1.78:1 depending on how data is processed in those minutes. In terms of editing, I'll have to blow up and crop the SD footage from 1.33:1 to 2.35:1 with the helmet camera. So, I am thinking that Ghosts of Mansfield will probably end up being around 5GB in size. Doing the planned Orlando Eastwood Collection Blu-ray is a project that I am handling delicately. Traumatic Possession 2D & 3D and The Hitch-Hiker 2D & 3D will be 1080p and 10GB each while Into the Madness and Ghosts of Madness will be 720p and 5GB each. The only real bonus material is audio commentaries which will be small in size; they will only be present on all films in 2D only. Also, subtitles are not big in size, we will try to include subtitles for as many languages as I can budget it.

I will also try to do collectible Blu-ray covers, individual covers made for Traumatic Possession 3D; Into the Madness; Ghosts of Mansfield; and The Hitch-Hiker 3D. There will also be cover made called The Orlando Eastwood Collection. That cover will most likely go out if we can get retail for either internet retailers or the physical walk in retailers. The plan for the collectible covers will be autographed and placed inside a red case colored Blu-ray case. Ok, ok, ok, really an HD-DVD case without the logo. Here's an example:

A Look at the Planned Blu-ray Releases.

I just wanted to give a studio update and talk a bit about filmmaking since I've been in recovery and haven't had a chance to do anything yet. I will hopefully have two or three Blu-rays out in the near future. And I say "or" for a good reason. I might put the 720p masters I am doing for Exploitation in the Third-Dimension on Blu-ray. It's one I am on the fence about, considering that the films are pretty much remastered from standard definition material. But the Blu-rays I will be doing for my studio will be Orlando Eastwood Films Collection; Nosferatu: 90th Anniversary Edition; and possibly Exploitation in the Third-Dimension. I was originally contemplating putting Nosferatu on the disc with my films, but, considering it's not something I made and it's something that I am basically going to try to clean up and restore, it deserves it's own Blu-ray.

Nosferatu might be on a BD-25 depending on how it turns out. Considering that the frame rate varies and that there is scenes missing from my print, especially at the beginning, I'm thinking I could easily fill a BD-25. The release of Nosferatu: 90 might be delayed though due to my accident. I was hoping on getting it transferred over to HD over this summer but it's hard to tell. One thing I was actually planning on doing was re-doing the title cards and doing it on my Super8 camera and have them developed and spliced in digitally to make it all look like transferred film as opposed to nice clean digitally made title cards done in The Gimp.

Considering that there's no audio on my print for Nosferatu, the plan was to create several new soundtracks from the film as well as ripping the soundtrack from the Public Domain version. I am lucky to have friends and family members who are musically talented. And this is the perfect opportunity for them to shine. I am also toying with the possibility of doing an anaglyph 3D conversion as well, but I will not push it if the regular 2D version takes up most of the disc space. And for bonus material, we're planning on recording a commentary track and getting a few cast members from stuff I've done to talk about the film. Also, we might create some trailers for the film.

The Orlando Eastwood Films Collection Blu-ray will be a BD-50 and contain however many films I can cram on the disc. Now, I know that might sound bad, but hear me out. Traumatic Possession 3D and Into the Madness were shot on cheap 720p cameras. The file sizes are small as hell. But the main thing I am contemplating right now, is whether or not I want to blow the films up to 1080p from the original 720p resolution. Right now, I figure the disc will contain the following:

Traumatic Possession 3D (2.35:1)
Traumatic Possession 2D (2.35:1)
Traumatic Possession: Video Version (1.33:1)
Into the Madness (2.35:1)

I figure that is a good 35GB of material alone, with the "Video Version" of Traumatic Possession being standard definition because it's going to be transferred from a video taped source. A third feature will be put on the disc leaving 5GB left which will be left bonus material. When I say I want to fill the disc; I mean just that. I want to give you, the viewer, the bang for their buck. Plus, I also believe that if you want to be able to make it in this home video market, you have to resort to putting more than one film out there.

I want try to pack the disc full of subtitles. I want to be able to sell this to anyone in the world and make it easy for them to view. I might have found possible distribution lined up in Sweden, but it's not set in stone yet. I am planning on paying for translations in the next few months for French, German, and Spanish and if all goes well with Sweden; Swedish subtitles as well. I'm also planning on producing French and German dub tracks on Traumatic Possession 3D and do the dubbing for myself in those languages since those are my second and third languages. There won't be any dubbing, nor 3D for Into the Madness since it's a documentary.

As far as bonus features, there will be some trailers. Given that Into the Madness was originally going to be a short behind the scenes and that it's turned into a full blown feature length documentary, that kinda narrows down bonus features for Traumatic Possession 3D. However, the two trailers that I have posted will be present, even with the first trailer being presented in it's open matted, 1.78:1 form.

With Exploitation in the Third-Dimension, I would do a BD-25 and see how many volumes I can fit on the disc in 720p. I was almost completed with Volume One which was going to contain Night of the Living Dead and Horror Express but then with my accident, I'm halting production currently on them. I'll be resuming work in a few weeks. I'm just not sure if my brain can handle watching anything in 3D right now. The movies weren't coming out that big in size after the conversions, about 3GB each. I could probably three volumes of the series on one BD-25 disc. I won't be trying to market these outside the U.S. due to fact that these might not be Public Domain outside the country.

Right now, with all this work, I'm taking it easy. I'm looking to start shooting the next movie in a few months once I can finally get my rhythm back. I love making movies and I honestly don't know where I'd be without it. And I look forward to entertaining as many as I can, in this life, and after with my films. A life might not last forever, but these sure movies can.
