It's been a week that I first sat down and hammered away at the script for the untitled Traumatic Possession 3D sequel, which we refer to from now on as Traumatic Possession 2 until we get a title for it. I'm past the first third of the script and decided to scribble a few pages of notes and got the first ten pages down for Traumatic Possession 3D: Apocalypse. Why write the third script at the same time that I am writing the second script? Simple, there's no real connection story-wise. Apocalypse is a stand-alone film, with the only character coming back is Simon Lange. I've written in that the final scene from Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape is to appear to continue the story off in both films.
In a way, it's kinda like how Toho did two sequels that aren't connected to one another with the Japanese film series, The Ring. After The Ring, there was The Spiral. The Spiral has no connection with any of the other films in The Ring series. And then, Toho did The Ring 2 and it basically was like Toho's way of saying; "Hey, The Spiral can fuck off! Our bad!"
With Traumatic Possession 3D: Apocalypse, after getting the first ten pages, I like that this is a different type of animal. I was thinking, how could I bring Simon Lange into a futuristic setting without bringing him into space and it all came to me. I have a lot of set work to do in terms of getting this how to look like how I want it, visually. I know I'll be color correcting the hell out of this one in post, once we get it shot. I'm thinking a murky brown-ish tint to it.
I am planning on getting discs factory pressed for 2014, but, with the intention of getting these copies in what's left of the video store market. It'll be a DVD-9 of Traumatic Possession: The Trilogy. Into the Madness: A Documentary will not be included on it, but, it will be on the Blu-ray. The Blu-ray release for the trilogy will have to span across two discs as I believe there is no way to fit it all on one BD-50 disc.
Disc one will most likely contain:
Traumatic Possession 2D: The Tape
Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape
Traumatic Possession: The Director's Cut
Into the Madness: A Documentary
Disc two will most likely contain:
Traumatic Possession 2 - 3D
Traumatic Possession 2 - 2D
Traumatic Possession 3D: Apocalypse
Traumatic Possession 2D: Apocalypse
The Director's Cuts of Traumatic Possession 2 and Traumatic Possession 3D: Apocalypse will be the final cuts that you see. Only reason why you're getting Traumatic Possession: The Director's Cut is because of some disagreements between my co-producer and I regarding the final cut for the theatrical release. I'm just restoring my vision for the film.
What next after finishing Traumatic Possession: The Trilogy? Well, we have Juggernaut 3D as my follow up. And Maze of Thought 3D will be filming for a 2015 release. I'll be breaking out another revision of the script for Maze of Thought 3D here in the next few weeks and hand it off to my co-producer. It's hard to believe it's been four years ago that I laid in bed, sick as a dog in Hilo, Hawaii and hammered out that script.
Hopefully, in late 2014, I can get my white ass back to Hawaii and enjoy the beaches and the island life. I miss it. I wish to find peace there after my second ex-fiancee walked away on everything. I would like nothing more than to just hear the waves crash upon the shore and think; "I'm home".
