Prepping "TP3D" Reshoots & Re-evaluating the Blu-ray Releases.

Long time no talk on this blog. I have been writing Blu-ray reviews over at this blog. I have exported all of the Blu-ray reviews from January 2009 to March 2012 that I wrote on the Blu-ray website. I am getting ready to finalize the contracts for Traumatic Possession 3D and Into the Madness since I want the "Behind-the-Scenes" to be it's own movie. Into the Madness tracks the long journey of getting this film finished. In between getting the stuff finalized; I have been discussing the planned potential Blu-rays for The Orlando Eastwood Collection and Nosferatu. I discussed plans at which I am comfortable with and hope that I can stick with it. I know I went in-depth in a previous blog post, but, my ghost haunting documentary Ghosts of Mansfield is becoming more a reality everyday.

The Hitch-Hiker 3D will most likely start rolling in July. I've pushed it back by two months because I am planning on spending some quality time with my fiancee in Mid-May. And June is when we film our possible one night of hell: Ghosts of Mansfield. I am getting another camera or two; one I saw was a helmet cam, but the only problem is that it is a standard definition camera. Considering the price of $20, I am considering biting on it and making the helmet cam footage the B-Roll for when we are cutting in between the two 720p HD cams I am shooting with.

Talking about data, shooting in 720p, my 8GB SDHC card can fit ninety minutes of footage in 1.78:1 depending on how data is processed in those minutes. In terms of editing, I'll have to blow up and crop the SD footage from 1.33:1 to 2.35:1 with the helmet camera. So, I am thinking that Ghosts of Mansfield will probably end up being around 5GB in size. Doing the planned Orlando Eastwood Collection Blu-ray is a project that I am handling delicately. Traumatic Possession 2D & 3D and The Hitch-Hiker 2D & 3D will be 1080p and 10GB each while Into the Madness and Ghosts of Madness will be 720p and 5GB each. The only real bonus material is audio commentaries which will be small in size; they will only be present on all films in 2D only. Also, subtitles are not big in size, we will try to include subtitles for as many languages as I can budget it.

I will also try to do collectible Blu-ray covers, individual covers made for Traumatic Possession 3D; Into the Madness; Ghosts of Mansfield; and The Hitch-Hiker 3D. There will also be cover made called The Orlando Eastwood Collection. That cover will most likely go out if we can get retail for either internet retailers or the physical walk in retailers. The plan for the collectible covers will be autographed and placed inside a red case colored Blu-ray case. Ok, ok, ok, really an HD-DVD case without the logo. Here's an example:

  1. Eastwood, where did you go? Don't forget about the fans? Any news on the summer release for the collection? I need content!
